Guidelines

  1. There shall be four (4) participating couples from each SUC’s. Couple will be one (1) male and one (1) female. A minimum of (2) two couples and maximum of (3) will dance the latin the standard.
  2. The performer should be a bonafide student of Bukidnon State University.
  3. The Presentation must be composed of five (3) Latin dances (cha cha cha, rumba, jive) and (3) standard dance (Show waltz, Tango, Quick step) or as agreed by the board of judges.
  4. Dress should follow the prescribed cut and decency.(No two piece, underwear should be black or dark color and the body of female dancer should be dancer)
  5. Lifts will be discouraged in the competition. For the purpose of this rule, a lift is defined as any movement during which one of the dancers has both feet off the floor at the same time with the assistance or support of the partner.
  6. Defending champions and professional dance sports dancers are not eligible to compete.

Mechanics and Rules of the Contest

  1. The topic of the easy shall b declared by the Board of Judges
  2. The essay shall be written in English in NOT less than 600 words  but NOT more than 800 words.
  3. The contestants shall be given two hours to develop the composition
  4. The contestants shall be provided with writing paper, a pen and their corresponding number.
  5. The contestants will use a number on their paper. The same number will be written on another piece of paper together with their real name and the unit where they come from. This will be used for verification of the winners later.
  6. No books, materials, dictionaries and the like shall be brought inside the contest venue.
  7. No person shall be allowed inside the contest venue except the contestants and the proctors.
  8. The result of the contest will be posted on the tally board immediately after the judges have finished rating them.
  9. The judges’ decision is final
